Under this initiative, CCEI worked with a total of 39 CAHWs. These community-based agents were trained in various aspects related to livestock management (like feeds and feeding, disease control, drug and vaccine administration, animal housing, breeding). Considering that the sustainability of their work hinges on economic benefit, CCEI also trained the CAHWs in business management. Through the initiative, over 1200 livestock farmers were trained, and close to 20,000 livestock owners benefited through livestock treatments. On the part of consumers, the project constructed 2 slaughter slabs.
